I flew in last night, got my bags in the door and finally took a look around at our new place...... I guess I put away more things than I thought, cause the house didn't look like I remembered it. There was actually room to walk around.......still a long way to go.
I picked up a cold somewhere along the way the last day or so in Mexico, and I couldn't believe how many people were coughing on the plane. I knew I was in trouble...... Oh well, just one of those things.
I walked around the property this morning and took a look at what is in store for me in the next little while......WOW, I have alot of work to do. First on my list is to buy a Lawn Mower!!!!
The weeds have taken over......some of them are over a foot tall........
First I think I have to rake up leaves........this is a pecan tree....what a mess, but I LOVE pecans!!!
the prior owner had 2 dogs and I have seen lots of dog toys in amongst the leaves and weeds, so have to get those up before I mow!!!!
The tomato garden is very over grown......
And look at these little buggers......don't know what they are, but they do not look good.......
Pretty much everything is in need of pruning.
I think these grasses are gonna have to come out. They are completely covering the palms....
Then there is the garage to empty......
and all the boxes in the house........ I haven't found my pots and pans yet!!!!
I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, but then looked back at the pictures of the house and yard when we first looked at it, and I am feeling more like it is do-able, it's just gonna take a little time........
Keep your fingers crossed for me, and if anyone wants to help, come on over!!!! hee hee
Back to work tomorrow, so better get on that grocery list.
Hope you had a great weekend!!!!
Welcome home....can't wait to see what you do with the yard--I'm sure it will be filled with lots of beautiful flowers.
