Colorful January

The year has started out with LOTS of color.....which I love!!!

We bought a couple paintings in Bali and finally got them back from the framer........took almost 3 months!!!!  Anyway, it is soo nice to have them now....this is fairly large (27x45)
It really adds a lot of color to the living room.  We got another one similar but smaller and it is in the dining room for now.

Still have a couple plumeria blooming...
They would not be doing this if we were in the Midwest or back east right now!!!!

Hang in there, hopefully your warmer weather is on the way!!!!!!  I'm thinking about you all!!!!

The nasturtiums are going NUTS!!!!  I have let them all come up wherever they want since they will die out once it starts getting warm.  They are kind of taking over, but they are soo pretty!!!!
You can see they have taken over the brick path.....
I think the orange is my favorite......SOOO bright!!!!

Wanted to share Mel's great valve covers.......these are the valves for the irrigation in front of the tomato garden, before....
And now with his wonderful bamboo cover!!!!
Protected from the sun, looks a million times better and easy to get to for maintenance....

Wonderful aloe that the hummingbirds love.

Abutilon

And finally.....I have had this orchid for at least 5 years and have never had much luck with it.  I have transplanted it twice and basically just dealt with it because it never died.  Well, now that it sits in the window in the kitchen, I guess it is happy......I have a flower stem!!!!!   YEA!!!!!
I don't remember what color the flowers are, but I am sure anxious to see!!!!   Maybe now I will be more tolerant of these beauties!!!!!

Hope your new year has started off bright and wonderful!!!!

  1. I'm so jealous, looking at all your beautiful blooming flowers, especially since we've had freezing temps for over a month but just a dusting of snow. Even the wet side of the state has been pretty dry this year.
