This is Shilo.
She likes to go for walks in the evening after work. We walked several loops around the neighborhood and she knew the shortcuts when she was tired.......
She is such a sweet dog. Even when we walked by houses with other dogs she just kept walking, without a care in the world. Good Girl!!!
I took the camera with me a couple times and got some pictures of the great plants in peoples yards.....yea, they probably thought I was nuts.....
Here are a few unusual plants we found....
This is a bromeliad of some kind. This house was incredible with all the different kinds of water-wise plants.
Here is a picture of the whole planting and this was just 1 kind of bromeliad.
Another unique plant is this Bird of Paradise. This plant does not have the large leaves that are typical. This ones leaves are spiky. Very neat!!!
I also kept an eye on Nemo.....
Nemo would meow and meow because he wanted outside. Since he was at the last stages of recovery from a bite of some kind he was supposed to stay inside......He got out one day as I was leaving for work. I knew he was usually an indoor/outdoor cat and he was healed pretty well. Every time I got close to him he would run. I finally had to just say be carefull and come back tonight when I get home from work. He did finally show up about 6:30 and he was hungry!!!!
The house where I was staying had lots of great
plants. There was even a plumeria......it has a flower stalk coming on.....Yipee!!!!!
Here is my favorite tree in the yard. This is a bottle tree.....What
a great art piece of yard art.....I just love all the colors of the bottles, but my absolute favorite is the cobalt blue!!!!
Here are a few pictures of the great flowers in this yard.......
This is Abutilon......spectacular!!!
This is Alstromeria, another gorgeous flower.
I can never remember what these are called. They get huge and they are gorgeous!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!
