The recipe was pretty easy and everything went together great. I decided to make the muffins in the little mini muffin pans. I always feel like I am being "Good" if I only eat a mini muffin instead of a large one.....the trick though is to only eat 1 or 2 mini muffins.....Good luck with that!!!!
They came out pretty good....I think I would like them better as a large muffin only because the fresh frozen berries make little soggy spots and they are really noticeable in these little muffins. I guess it doesn't help that I used more berries than the recipe called for!!!!
Since these turned out soo well I decided I would try the recipe with fresh frozen cranberries.......I made these in the large muffin pan because the cranberries are huge and I would barely be able to get much bran in with a couple berries.....and then would probably have a soggy mess.
These turned out great!!! A little tart and I probably should have used a bit more sugar to compensate for the tart berries, but I thought they tasted pretty good and they disappeared at work, so they couldn't have been that bad!!! I have never made bran muffins before so this was a total experiment.....I can't wait to make more...
I finally got around to looking at my fabrics for the grocery bags. I actually got grannies nighties cut up and can get 4 maybe 5 grocery bags. The Royal Blue will be the base bag fabric and then the nightie fabrics will be the accent.
It's been quite awhile since I sewed anything, so this should be fun.... I have a couple other grocery bags that never got finished, so guess now is as good a time as any, right???
The floor is cleared and the papers are shredded, so it's time to set up and do a little sewing!!!!!
Shel: John just saw this and told me to tell you that we will take 1/2 dozen of the blueberry and 4 of the cranberry mini muffins...just put 'em in the mail, please. Mmmmmm, they sho' look gooood!
