The weather has been quite cool lately with low clouds and a bit of rain. We were hoping to be able to launch our Globo before I headed home. Today was windy all day and even tonight during sunset the winds did not seem like they were going to calm down. We had pretty much given up, and as soon as Chauncy and Donna showed up the winds calmed down. We decided we better launch it NOW!!!! Quite a few people showed up to see what it was all about.

Down on the beach, Donna starts getting it inflated with a hand fan. Chauncy is looking for volunteers to hold the Globo as it inflates.

"Do-nut" is lit, Globo is filling with hot air......everyone hoping it does not catch fire.....remember, this is just tissue paper.......

Up, Up and Away it goes.......we all watched until it became a tiny speck of light and disappeared into the clouds!!!!
