A customer on my route gave me this article that was printed in the newspaper recently......
Thank You Linda Smith.......
Took these pics a few days ago......started sorting my mail at 7:30......ready to hit the street and start my delivery about 10:00
About 8 hours later, the truck is empty, except for a couple packages I had to notify. Notice it is DARK looking thru the front window!!!!! I think I had to give an hour to someone else to carry, because I had to be off work by 6:00!!!! This is pretty much every day right now.
Hoping things will lighten up after Christmas.A little bitch session:
We always have some kind of Christmas potluck at work, but this year management never said a word about it. There are no decorations at all around the PO and someone started to play some Christmas music the other day and it was turned off!!!!
Not even a "Thank You" has been spoken for working the long hours day after day. Nothing!!!
OK - I'm done.......
How many days before Mexico???!!!! :-)

You have my sympathies. I don't understand how they expect you to undertake all this work. I thought they used to hire extra workers at Christmas....hope the countdown to Mexico gets you thru the next week or so....
ReplyDeleteI do not understand the lack of "Christmas" in some establishments this year. Hubby was at the hospital (Catholic-run) the other day for some routine stuff, and they didn't have a Christmas tree nor any decorations. When asked why, he was told they were not allowed this year. Well, ladies and gentlemen of Shelly's blog----I wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. So there!
