It is 2 days until Christmas and I am still sewing......... how many of us quilters/sewers are finished???!!!!
Before I wrap these up, I thought I would show you my latest project.......this is an organizer for work. I was getting tired of not having my forms, supplies etc. handy when I needed them. I basically had everything loose in a little tray. Sooooo, here is my organizer for work. My prototype...... :-)
Of course it has a Hawaiian feel....... :-)
Wah-la....... room for change of address and vacation hold forms in the back pocket. A note pad, notification slips and some lotion in the 2nd row. Band-aids (way too many paper cuts!!!), scissors, pens and black marker in the 3rd row, and in the bottom row I have misc. slips that we use, some gum, fingernail clippers (for those broken nails) and a credit card sized dental floss that my dentist sends me every year........don't you hate it when you get something in your teeth and can't get it out......you'd do anything to have a piece of dental floss!!!! Hee Hee Hee
I put velcro on the back at the top and I got some industrial strength velcro from a friend that will be attached to the firewall of the vehicle......then it can just be stuck on in a second and ready to go.....and when a day off comes around it can be taken down so it doesn't dissapear!!!!!
I am making a couple for friends at work.....over the years friends have given me stamp fabric, this is the perfect use for it......
And finally, they wouldn't be complete without the label....
I am hoping to be able to start making various purses, pouches, quilts etc. to sell. So this is my name..... Don't really have much of a website yet, have to figure out how to do all that, plus have time to make stuff to sell.....that will come in time, but hey, I have the name, right???
OK, time to wrap these up, I hope they like 'em......
Merry Christmas!!!!
Very clever. I love the name -- where did you get the labels from? Merry Christmas to you -- I hope things are calmer at work soon....
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative, Shell. Fantastic job. I'm sure the folks who get them will love them. I'll bet you could get set up rather quickly on Etsy.com. Have you tried them yet? Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe Merriest of Christmases to you both. I miss you.
Hi Sal, I got the GypzyLife Store name on Etsy, but haven't sold anything on there yet.... gotta have time to make extra stuff.... hee hee
