Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I hope this finds everyone starting their new year off RIGHT!!

I had a nice dinner and visit with family on New Years Eve, even stayed up past midnight which is a first for me in MANY years!!!

Then got up early to go surfing!!!!   The water was FREEZING!!!  I'm not sure what the temp was, but as we were sitting out in the water with our whole bodies shivering, we could see our breath!!!!   The waves were not that great, but it was something we just had to do........ After a little bit, we decided it was just too cold and we were too stiff to even be able to catch a wave if one showed up, so we headed in.   Then I looked at my watch to see how long we had endured the PAIN!!!!    Only 15 minutes had passed.... hee hee hee hee     Are we wimps or WHAT!!!?????   Dylan is only 15, so that young blood of his was just getting warmed up.   He could have stayed out alot longer, but I think he was ok with going to get some Hot Chocolate!!!!!    It took longer to clean up our gear and get changed into warm clothes!!!!    Then we headed to Starbucks for something HOT to drink........ My customers gave me lots of Starbucks gift cards for Christmas this year, so they came in very handy.....

Then I got to go to a friends parents house for tamales and pasouli - a New Years Day Tradition for their family.   I am soo luck to have been invited the past 2 years!!!  It was soo yummy!!!!

Oh, the high temp for the day was 82º   :-)  (all smiles)

It was a great day and a great beginning to the year.
