VNUS Closure

Well, after all the weeks of stressing about my vericose vein procedure, I can happily say that this part is over without much issue.   Tomorrow is 1 week post procedure.   I was supposed to have this done 6 weeks ago and postponed it due to the reviews I had read online.   I should know better than that....... I finally decided I couldn't put it off any longer and after getting myself all worked up over it, it really wasn't bad at all...... The shots to numb my leg were not fun at all, but after all the prepping and numbing, the actual procedure took less than a minute.  I couldn't believe it when he said, "Ok, we are done."

They want you up and waking immediately and no time off of work, even when I explained what I did for a living.

I came home and started back in again moving all that mulch that was still piled in the driveway.   It all was fine because I was able to go at my own pace.    I scheduled this procedure when I had my 3 day weekend, so I would have plenty of time to re-coup. (even though they said I would be able to work)    We moved mulch for a couple hours and then decided to head to the beach for the evening.   I didn't surf, but it was just nice to sit and relax and watch everyone.    The numbing stuff wore off and only needed a couple Tylenol.

The next day back to moving mulch and pretty much working in the yard for the rest of the weekend.   I did take Monday off work also because I just didn't think I could work at the pace I am expected to at work.   If I had a desk job I could've gone back to work the next day no problem.

So, leg is wrapped up until follow up appt. on Friday and then we see what is next.

I am mostly posting this in case someone who reads this is thinking about the procedure or knows someone who is thinking about it.    I could find nothing good online, but the reviews were several years old.  Maybe technology has improved in the past few years......... or maybe only people with negative issues get online to voice their opinions!!!!!!
