I have been having serious pumpkin pie cravings!!!! I don't want to buy any just yet, I am trying to be good.....I know if I buy one, I will eat it....all by myself!!!!
Mel decided he has had enough chores and he needed some down time, so he took off for a week to try to find some waves up at San 'O. They are pretty few and far between, but a bad day surfing is better than a good day working!!!!
I will head up to meet him on my day off. Hopefully there will be some waves for me as well.
The back garage door turned out beautiful!!!!!

We got our results from the soil test on our avocado tree.....
YIKES!!!! Our poor tree is having a heck of a time!!!!! The CL is the chloride salts..... We have leached it now, took about 10 hours to get enough water down. Since our weather has cooled off, we might not have to water for a couple weeks. I have bought the special fertilizer (which is basically Nitrogen) and I need to get a bale of straw and about 100 lbs. of gypsum. This will all get put down before we water next time. Then we should be on a fairly regular schedule of testing to make sure the soil is drying before we water again.....
On a good note, I am seeing new growth and we do have a few avocados....
At work we bid for vacation for next year.....now to figure out what we want to do and where we want to go. This next year will be a couple shorter vacations spread throughout the year. Brenna and Dan will be coming for a visit as well. YEA!!!!! Can't wait to see you both.....Legoland is calling......
Oh, I forgot to mention that the "B" postmaster we had is GONE!!!! YEA!!!!! She left shortly before I came back from vacation.....the best welcome home EVER!!!!! Now life is back to normal at work and everyone is so much happier and less stressed......although this holiday mail is going to kill us!!

Wow, it looks like you caught the problem with the avocado tree before it died! Good for you....and good for the tree! Also glad you came back to the "B" postmaster being gone...there's nothing worse that having a boss one just can stand!
