I think it is spring.........

Here we are, another week gone by........been home for a month now.... WOW, hard to believe!!!!

The weather has been a bit cool, so didn't get much done outside......only 2 cans out for the greens guy.....I bet he was relieved when he pulled around the corner and didn't see the big ROW of cans... hee hee  

I took some pictures of the flowers in the yard......

Don't have a clue what this is.....very neat though......

Found a beautiful Bougainvillea - had to grab it - it will look great on the fence between us and the neighbors.......  I have found 3 Bougainvillea plants on the property, they have been ignored for a long time, so hoping I can bring them back to life.......This one will start us out.

Got the lettuce and spinach planted and something came along and mowed it down.......had to build a chicken wire cover.....so far nothing has dug underneath to get at it.   Not sure if it will come back......They didn't bother the spinach too much.......

Ok, a bad picture........decided not to put it on........we have gophers like crazy....actually I think it is just a couple, but they are going nuts......... I got one of them........I really hate to "get rid of them", but they are destroying the yard....front and back...look at all these mounds!!!!! And this is in a space about 4' x 2'....

It feels like I didn't get much done this past week.   We had rain on Sat. (at work) and then ALL day Sunday, even got some hail!!! Looking out the back door.....Brrrrrr    I know, I know, this is nothing, but it was COLD for us here in So. Cal.....

Looking out the dining room window towards the casita.......it was pouring....

This little guy was enjoying the freshly rained on grass.....

I hope the rabbits don't become a problem eating everything.... I know he didn't get the lettuce because there is "bunny" wire around the tomato patch...

Sooo..... since it was raining all weekend, I decided to work on some purses that I had promised a friend.  They are for her 3 year old nieces......she had picked out the fabrics awhile back and I needed to get them done before the end of the month......I  have been trying to find a pattern that I liked and everything I found I didn't like.......I played around with some scraps and this is what I came up with......

I sewed all day!!!!  It was a fun change from pulling weeds and cleaning up leaves.......

Had just enough fabric left over to make a couple wallets.   The wallets were for Cathy.... I don't think 3 year olds need wallets yet!!!   hee hee  The turquoise purse is actually a lot more green, couldn't get the color quite right......found just the right fabric for the lining!!!!

What a fun day!!!!  But now I am feeling guilty that I didn't get anything done in the house!!!!!

Oh well.....   :-)
