As usual, it has been busy around here....
The gardens are growing good, and I'm sharing LOTS of tomatoes and zucchini.
I made stir-fry using the Japanese Eggplant, not quite sure if I like the eggplant, guess I will need to try a couple more recipes. They are growing like crazy though....
The 2nd planting of green beans is just starting to climb.
I had planned on removing the old plants last weekend, but they are still producing......

Last week I finally finished the windshield curtains for the motorhome. They were a pain and I hope I don't have to make any more of those for a long time!!!
We found a really nice linen and I backed it with a drapery lining - I think that is why they were soo difficult for me...... I'll stick to quilting!!!! :-)
The backyard path is coming along..... We are using a recycled plastic composite board for the edge.
Last night we headed down to the Material yard to order DG for the path, but while we were talking to the owner, we decided to order 3/8" gravel instead. The DG would have been ok, but if (that is a BIG IF) we get rain, the path could turn into a mud hole. The gravel will allow drainage, which we definitely need in this yard.
So...the gravel is going to be delivered early Friday morning......guess you know what we will be doing this weekend.....my long weekend......but we will definitely get a surf in sometime.....
This next couple days will be super busy getting these boards finished and getting ready for the next step.
The last plumeria opened a few days ago.
I don't know the name of this one, but she is gorgeous!!!
Even though we have been busy as usual, we have taken some time to have fun. Mel surprised me last week and we went to our local moonlight amphitheatre and saw Mary Poppins. It was soo much fun!!!! We packed a picnic dinner and sat in the lawn area and had a great time!!!! I definitely want to go see another show.
It is pretty funny, we can hear the singing for these shows at our house. Last year we kept hearing singing and thought it was coming from one of the local churches. It can get pretty loud and sometime it would go until after 10:00pm. We got in the car and went searching for the sound. We ended up at the amphitheatre......guess we are just in the right spot for the sound to travel. After we saw Mary Poppins, I could hear them singing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (however you spell it) ;-)
We also went and saw the movie "Chef" and thought it was pretty good. We don't care for the violent movies, so we go see the fun ones. Mel liked the Cars movies and the new one "Planes: Fire and Rescue" just came out, so we will go see that one maybe next week.
Soo, that is what is new here, keep in touch and let us know what is happening in your little corner of the world.
