Front Yard is getting there.......

From my last post, I had wanted to get all the plants in the ground before Mel got back from his trip......well, I got NONE of them planted.   We had such hot weather and it's hard enough on the plants to be transplanted, much less having to deal with the heat and the drip system not turned on yet.   So, I didn't get much done in the front yard, but tried to catch up in the back yard....
We thought this project would take about 3 weeks.....HA HA HA
So far it has taken twice as long as has cost 3 times a much as we anticipated.....isn't that how most home projects go??????

We have been able to plant most of the plants that we already bought, just have a few more in the back yard and then the 40 we are waiting to pick up.

Most of the plants were in 1 Gal pots so right now they just look like little blips of green against the neutral rock.
Here is the front part of the yard....little "blips"....
What we have planted so far is:
Bougainvillea Rosenka

Lantana Trailing Red  (we have trailing yellow on the other side)

Lantana Patriot Rainbow

Firecracker Plant
which we think the rabbits like.......UGH

Wheeler's Dwarf Pittosporum

Dwarf Bottle Brush
not pictured are
Pygmy Date Palms and
Bird of Paradise

and still to go in is Dianella "Little Becca"
 and Dianella "Baby Bliss"
which is a smaller version of Little Becca with gray blue more spiky leaves but same blue flowers.

We are hoping to have the yard completed within the next 2 weeks.......depending on the rain.....

I can't wait til next summer when it will all be bigger and in bloom.  That is when it will start to look like something......

Coming up on a weekend, have a great one!!!!
