Phuket and Koh Samui

We landed in Phuket and bargained for a taxi ride to our hotel, only to find out when we got there we had already booked and paid for a ride!!!!  DUH!!!!    Hee hee.    We have made soo many reservations for this trip it is hard to keep them all straight, especially when everything around you is moving soo FAST!!!   And you are tired.....

This was a really nice place,too bad we were only here for 1 night.

Our hotel was right across the street from the beach.

Rows of beach chairs.....I guess you pay a fee for the use of the chair and someone will make sure you have all the food and drinks you could want......

These little patterns are all over the beach and they all look different.  Sand crabs pushing dirt out of their hole.....but not just in a pile.....very cool..

I was disappointed in the trash on the beach.  All kinds of stuff along the water line.  You don't notice it from far away, but when you are right up on it, it is just sad....

It had been a long day so we decided to sit in the shade and enjoy a cold drink.

The sun is pretty hot here, so we didn't spent too much time right on the beach, we wandered around the little town, checking things out, looking for a place to have dinner.

Had a nice dinner on the beach and then crashed.....we were soo tired...

We flew out the next morning to Koh Samui island.

We remembered we had arranged for a pick up here....it was about an hour drive to our hotel, thru some crazy little cities...

It was so nice to get to our room, where we will stay for the next week.

It is the beginning of the slow season, so it is nice and quiet here.

The water is about 90 degrees......pretty much the same as the air.  It is humid, but not too bad.

We enjoyed our first sunset and then went for a nice dinner to celebrate being here.

Well, something went wrong, because I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well at all.   I have been pretty much room bound all day today, but I am starting to feel better.    Mel and I shared our meals, so I don't think it was the food, but maybe a cocktail I had.......  I just hope this is it for me for the trip........

Everyone gets in tomorrow for the wedding on Monday.  Can't wait to meet everyone and to see Brenna and meet Dan.
